I have made notable progress in just a few lessons….

Whether you’re a beginning music student, or a pro who needs a bit of direction, Melody Music Studios can match you with a wonderful teacher who is just right for you and your skill level. Here’s a recent comment from a happy student.

“In only a few lessons, I have made notable progress
My teacher is excellent. She introduces just the right amount of new material in a session, to keep things challenging, but not overwhelming. Feedback has been helpful and has contributed to my improvement. ”

Make practice fun!

Make practice fun by encouraging a “dress rehearsal”. Drag out some fancy duds, sparkly shoes and crazy hats. Build a makeshift “stage” from cardboard and add accessories likes amps and speakers made of boxes. It’s a fun way to explore the backstage world of production.

Happy Mom of three loves her Melody Music Studios teacher

Our instructors are multi-talented professionals…here’s a review from a happy mom!
My three daughters really enjoy their piano and violin lessons with Tabitha. One daughter takes both piano and violin so it is nice to have one person who can help with both instruments and monitor her progress. Tabitha really engages the girls and will get down on the floor to help my 8 year old figure out how to care for and hold the violin. The girls like how active she is with them. She is very open to feedback from the students on what music interests them.

“I’ve been taking classes with melody music for over 2 years now, and I have been very happy. When I relocated from Atlanta to Boston, I simply spoke to Kathi and she was able to suggest us a teacher that was able to teach my son in-home, and as good as his piano teacher in Atlanta.
The thing I love with Melody music studios is that the teachers are active professionals, who are willing to start lessons with little kids.”

A happy customer review for our Jaella!

My 9 year old started her piano lessons with Jaella in Ocean County NJ 7 weeks ago. She is doing really well and Jaella is an excellent teacher. She knows just what to say to get my daughter to perform well for her… if I could only bring Jaella home with me for practices…

Meet our instructor Suzanne

Suzanne began lessons at the age of 8 off and on, after begging for lessons since the age of 6. She knew after seeing her first guitar, that she wanted nothing else but to play guitar! At the age of 16, Suzanne took lessons from a professional instructor and began learning classical guitar, where she began the musical journey of merging classical and rock. To date she has studied privately over 30 years from college professors, and has performed in bands since the early 1990’s. Suzanne has been teaching since 1998, teaching jazz, classical, rock, and metal. Suzanne is currently taking on line classes at Berklee College of Music.SuzanneD

Meet our instructor Timmie

Five Questions with our fantastic instructor, Timmie in Staten Island NY
I’m Timmie and I’m a singer, specializing in classical music, opera, and music theater. I teach voice and piano to students of all ages, and in all styles. I’ve been teaching voice and piano since 2007, and like to apply traditional techniques to modern and popular genres of music, as well as the classics.

How did you get interested in music? My family took a weekend trip to New York City to see The Phantom of the Opera and Cats. When we came home I wouldn’t stop drawing pictures of the scenes and singing the role of Christine around the house. I’ve been singing ever since.

What have you been up to professionally? I just finished a run of Pagliacci with a company in Northern NJ, and will be singing in La Boheme this Fall.

What’s your number one practice tip? Muscle Memory! Create healthy and regular habits by allowing yourself to take the time get it right. Whether it’s taking a low breath when singing or curving your fingers a certain way when playing, the more you do it correctly, the more easily it will come when you need it.

What are you listening to right now? Turn Blue, the Black Keys new album. I’ve been a fan for years!
