“I had a great time taking lessons from Kate. She made learning to sing fun and was easy to work with. Setting up the lessons through Melody Music was a fairly simple and easy process and the people I’ve had contact with from the school have been friendly and helpful.”

“My daughter took voice lessons through Melody Music for 14 months. She began with one teacher who had to relocate to another state a few months later and Melody Music quickly matched her up with another equally fantastic instructor. She learned a LOT, her voice quality, breath control, and range improved dramatically, and so did her confidence and happiness. I would definately recommend Melody Music to anyone wishing to take music lessons.”

“The teacher, Lindy, was awesome .. an amazing ability to gently push without making my teenager feel she was being pushy. She saved our daughter from quitting flute. “

The Art of Listening to Yourself Practice     Bassist John McBroom with Blue Mule The Art of Listening to Yourself Practice For those of you that are taking lessons, imagine that your instructor is there with you when you practice and be critical of your playing the same as your instructor would, hearing his or her words in your head. I still hear my past instructors every time I practice, telling me things I know he would say if he were listening. I know that while you’re learning a pie … Read More

Polishing up your performance skills

Talent is one thing….performing is another

We’re an over-stimulated culture. We expect entertainment on our telephones, in our vehicles, on wide screen surround sound projector televisions in our homes and on our computers as we work. We thrive on call-in interactive television. More people vote in the American Idol competition than in presidential elections. News shows routinely encourage audiences to phone in or text questions or comments. Our opinon matters, our voices are heard, our t … Read More
