Meet our banjo, mando, guitar instructor Dennis in Dallas!


Dennis Dennis attended the Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, CO for one year, then transferred to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO with a Music Therapy major for two years. He has been playing and performing professionally on the Banjo since 1973, including playing for shows in Branson, MO, and in 1981 took second place in the national Banjo contest. In 1997-98 Dennis was the head of the Guitar Department at College of the Ozarks in Branson Mo. He’s been teaching since 1975 and teaches banjo, guitar, mandolin and classical guitar, and his styles include bluegrass, country, country rock and intermediate classical guitar.Personality rating: EasygoingDennis has been teaching with Melody Music Studios since:  3/23/2011 Want to start lessons with this instructor? Meet our Sunnyvale CA instructor Michelle!


Michelle Michelle received her Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2001, followed by her Master’s in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland Opera Studio in College Park in 2004. Michelle has been teaching since 2007 and performing professionally since 1998, singing principal and supporting roles, as well as singing with professional choruses, in opera, musical theater, and cabaret. While she is a classical vocalist by trade, Michelle has experience singing jazz, pop, and sacred music, as well as conducting. She has won scholarships and awards in vocal competitions since 1998. Michelle currently performs as an opera / oratorio singer in the Bay Area and all across the United States.Personality rating: Outgoing

Charlsey in Nashville teaches Voice, Piano and Guitar!


Charlsey Charlsey graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, TN in 2003 with a vocal performance degree and a 3.4 GPA. She’s been teaching since 2001. Charlsey teaches voice, piano and guitar. While at the university, she was assistant director of the Children’s Chorale and has performed in many shows, including The King and I, Grease, and Guys and Dolls, to name a few. She’s also performed in choirs, opera workshops, and has recorded with top professional musicians. Charlsey was a semi-finalist in a national competition for voice.Personality rating: Outgoing, personable yet laid back.

Our instructor Nicole in Columbia TN rocks!


Nicole Nicole attended MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN for Entrepreneurship part time for 5 years. She began the Suzuki method for violin when she was six years old and studied privately until attending college. In high school she played in the Nashville Youth Orchestra, and later the Curb Youth Symphony. She performed in MTSU’s orchestra. Though classically trained through Suzuki, Nicole has also played and performed in an Irish and folk music band where she improvised melodies on the violin. Nicole also studied guitar in high school and college. Nicole has been teaching since 2011 for violin and guitar. For guitar she offers acoustic basic (strumming, chords, posture), light classical finger picking scales, and for violin, light classical folk/Irish posture and technique.

Meet our instructor Brandon in Baltimore!


Brandon attended UMBC in Catonsville, Maryland for 3 years with a major in Psychology and a minor in music, than he transferred and graduated from AACC in Arnold, Maryland in 2010. He first picked up the drum sticks when he was 10 years old and furiously began practicing every waking second that he could. During high school and college, he performed in school ensembles and musical competitions. He also began performing outside of school in bands for pop and rock styles and began writing songs with fellow musicians and recorded 4 albums. They are in the process of recording and releasing their 5th album in the summer of 2011. Brandon has been teaching since 2007 and his styles include traditional rudiments, match grip technique, rock, jazz, Samba, Reggae, punk, heavy metal and double kick patterns.

Feature Instructor: Jazz Guitarist ADAM in Nashville


Adam attended the Indiana University in Bloomington, IN for three years with a major in Jazz Studies. While at the university, he also studied jazz improvisation privately with a couple of college professors, one at Northwestern University, and a professor at the Berklee College of Music. He began playing at the age of eleven, and began performing professionally in the Chicago-land area at the age of thirteen. As a child, Adam was primarily self- taught until he began studying with a local jazz player at the age of sixteen. After college, Adam performed and toured professionally nationwide, and including a tour in Europe playing with top professional musicians, as well as performed as a cruise ship show band guitarist. He continues to study privately with college level instructors as well as perform professionally. Adam has been teaching since 1998 and his styles include jazz, swing, rock, and country, among other styles.
